Despite her young age, Şüheda Aydın Pehlivan, who has made a big breakthrough in hijab clothing, said, "Allah has already determined the limits of hijab. No one can set a limit for himself." said.

As star.com.tr, we made an interview with Şüheda Aydın Pehlivan, who made a big breakthrough in hijab clothing in a short time thanks to the audience she caught. Pehlivan was awarded the Askon Economy Award in 2013 by our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was then prime minister, for his contributions to the real economy.

Can you briefly tell about yourself? Who is Suheda Aydın Pehlivan?

I was born in October 1990. I am a graduate of Kartal Anatolian Imam Hatip High School. I have been doing my own business with the Şüsütown brand for about four and a half to five years. I graduated from Bilgi University International Finance and did a minor in political science. Since 2011, when I was a student, I have been in this sector with Şüsütown. I am married.

I made my first sales through social media

When your undergraduate education was in a completely different field, how did you start with the headscarf and then move on to wearing hijab?

I did not choose the international finance major willingly. In the years I took the university entrance exam, the problem of the number of floors continued. To be honest, I chose the sections where my score could keep and I could focus on trading. I chose Bilgi University as a place where I can study while wearing a headscarf. I wrote the departments there such as business, international trade and finance. And the finances took hold. Otherwise, I have no interest in finance. This is how I got started in international finance. At that time, I chose politics as a minor because of my interest in politics. But I always had business on my mind. But I had no idea what would happen. I always wanted to have a job of my own. My mother and father are doing their own business separately, and the fact that I grew up in such a family probably formed the basis of the idea of "I have my own business". But I didn&39;t know then that I would go into the textile business, the fashion business. Silk shawls were very popular when I was active on social media. Everyone wore colorful silk shawls. Since I got bored of wearing solid color shawls, I bought some fabric and made a few patterned shawls in my mother&39;s workshop. At that time, I was very active on social media and the shawls attracted a lot of attention in the photos I shared. When I saw this interest, I thought I could produce and sell it and started selling. Back then, there were only solid color shawls. The shawls I made were patterned and their size was in the size that we could cover our heads properly. There were only products such as scarves in the market with patterns and these were not enough to be covered in size. With my mother&39;s encouragement, we bought fabric and made some shawls. We started out completely as amateurs. I put on the shawls I made and took pictures of them and shared them. A few of the products we made were also sold out right away. When there was a lot of demand, I said, "I&39;ll take the training of this job, I can continue in this sector." Then, when I was a university student, I started going to fashion design school in the evenings. I studied fashion design and management. At the same time, I was trying to meet the demands. In this sense, international finance has contributed a lot to me. It is necessary to consider not only the design, but also the commercial aspect of this business. Because not everything you design sells.

How did the idea of creating the Şşitown brand come about?

I was already using the name Şüsütown as a nickname on social media. Shush is the abbreviation of my name. Most of my family and friends refer to me as “Shushi”. I added Town, inspired by a song. Since I started this business as an amateur, I didn&39;t think of a separate name and started using Şüsütown as a brand. When this name was liked, we continued that way, otherwise we did not do it with the effort of getting a special name. Still, some people like the name Şüsütown very much, while others do not like it at all, there is no middle ground.

The limits of the hijab are determined by Allah

Can hijab be fashionable too? What is the criterion here?

First of all, we should not evaluate the people we look at as "this is not hijab", which is bad for the eyes, with the hijab fashion. There is a breakdown here. If you follow fashion, you wear loose pieces. There are headscarved people who wear pants like tights. Actually, it&39;s not a fashion, it&39;s not a trend. She only wears it because it suits her. No matter which store you enter today, there are sure to be wide-leg trousers. Even open people are wearing loose-fitting leggings, while we still don&39;t. If we look at it as fashion, it must first be known. Secondly, I can add something like this, within the boundaries of hijab, fashion can be inspired. Every season there are different colors and different cuts. It can be adapted to the hijab by being inspired. We can&39;t use tight-fitting trousers because it has become a trend in the world.

No one can set a limit for himself. Allah has already determined the limits of the veil. We cannot change this. But fashion is very flexible and changeable. For example, the colors of 2016 were announced as tones such as powder pink and baby blue. All hijab companies use these tones, which is a natural result. The limits of the hijab
