GAZIANTEP MIDDLE EASTERN SOCIAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY” SUITABLE FOR GAZIANTEP AND THE REGION

As you know, a second state university will be established in Gaziantep very soon.

The issue is discussed in all its aspects on social media.

The last fifteen years of my life were spent in Gaziantep.

I am a person who knows the potential of Gaziantep, its dynamics and its contribution to the region.

Gaziantep is a very important city not only for eastern and southeastern Anatolian regions, but also for neighboring countries.

It is a city that is the economic locomotive of this geography.

It is one of the fastest developing and fastest growing cities in the world.

And finally, it has entered the list of World Gastronomy City.

I am one of those people who say that a state university should be opened instead of Zirve University, which was closed down with the July 15 attempt to invade, divide and break up the country.

I went further and stated that this should be a social sciences-based university.

As it is known, Gaziantep University initially started its education life under the name of Middle East Technical University and this continued for a long time.

Now, I would like to insist that the starting point should be the following while the work on establishing a second state university continues; The current university should be simplified as science and health sciences and should be revised as a technical university.

The new university to be opened should also focus on social sciences.

This region is a troubled geography. No matter what period of history we look at, the head of this region is caused by internal turmoil.

It has not been spared from wars and occupations.

Even countries that are thousands of kilometers away have had calculations on this geography, and it seems that these calculations continue.

For him, the university of social sciences is a mandatory requirement for this region.

Administrative Sciences, Lawyers, Educators, Sociologists, Psychologists, Philosophers should analyze this region in every aspect.

If it is established as a Social Sciences-oriented university, the Council of Higher Education should support this university with a high incentive rate.

We must not forget that; a good social sciences infrastructure is also an important need for good science and good health sciences.

It is very difficult to expect good science and good health science studies in a place where social sciences infrastructure is weak.

The people of Gaziantep say that it should be established as a Technical University, but in my opinion, there is a need for more social sciences universities in this region.

Ours is a wish.

Appreciation of decision makers :)
