The news of loss of life in the center of Van, especially in Erciş, appeared on the screens.

After the images came, the seriousness of the situation became clear.

As always, in the first hours there was a great rush and a great information pollution.

Over time, everything started to improve gradually.

The state and the citizen, the whole country, were mobilized.

When Van was involved, this mobilization took on a different meaning.

I have always admired the common sense of this country.

This common sense was never mistaken and never misled.

The Bolu earthquake was many times bigger than the Van earthquake, but the country had not shown such a sensitive reflex.

I do not remember such a reflex in Bolu.

According to what is said, the aid received so far has reached the amount that will meet the three-year needs of our citizens residing within the provincial borders of Van.

Aid continues to increase.

The fact that this earthquake occurred at a time when the news of terror and martyrdom was at its peak gave this earthquake a different meaning.

These aids should be accepted as a message in this respect.

These lands have no other choice.

People living here do not have any other luxury.

These aids are a record of how the citizen looks at the situation.

This sensitivity of the public actually contains another message.

It's almost like a "sorry" message.

“We have neglected you until today, I'm so sorry, but we want you to know that we are always with you”.

The government has a great opportunity.

A new service attack should be initiated to cover the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions by means of the Van earthquake.

This earthquake should be accepted as an opportunity to start the services that have been neglected until now without losing any time.

Is it just the state?

No.

Everyone should put their hand under the stone.

Now is the time.

It is now in our hands to turn this time into a golden opportunity.
