WHAT DO WE WANT FROM POLITICIANS?

10/06/2013 | Doç. Dr. Ahmet TAN | 357

I can say this very easily.

In terms of political culture and political tolerance, citizens on the street are far ahead of our politicians.

Maybe I used a very heavy sentence!

I look forward to everyone's understanding on this matter.

I do not dare to watch the news of national channels on Tuesday evenings with my children.

Why? Because there are group meetings that day!

A heavy word can come out of a President's mouth at any moment.

That's why we need to see something, change something.

We are tired of grumbles, quarrels, fights and shouting.

Now we want political faces smiling at each other.

We want politicians who can talk to each other about anything.

Get out and read history on those podiums.

Get out of those chairs, read philosophy and sociology.

Get out and read poetry to those podiums.

Get out and read Mevlana's Mesnevi on those podiums.

Get on those podiums, read Yunus, Mehmet Akif, Pir Sultan Abdal.

Come out and say whatever you want to those platforms, but please don't be angry with each other!

Do you think that as you get angry with each other on those podiums, that anger stays there?

As you get angry with each other in those podiums; Spouses are angry with each other, mothers with their children, sons with their friends, teacher students, taxi driver, grocer's customer, tea seller with the uncle playing cards, the player with the referee, the fans with the opposing team supporters, shouting and fighting!

There is more to come, but I will not mention it here.

Why is violence of all kinds increasing so much?

Let's not look for the reasons too far..

We are in the age of communication.

We can see everything at any time.

Life is so diversified that sometimes we cannot predict how we will behave.

Everything happens spontaneously.

your projects

Let your opinions, depths of knowledge speak.

Do not say that I know everything about everything.

Be simple, avoid pomp, don't be formal.

Don't translate words, speak in a language we can understand.

Be accessible, be loyal, share.

Be like an ordinary citizen.

We have to do these things in order to increase the quality in politics.

As the quality increases, you will see that the quality of our daily life also increases.

We all need this.
